Senior Accountant

Description

Independently plans and monitors the completion of bookclose processes and financial reports in a deadline focused environment, while ensuring that issues are escalated as needed. Uses increasing expertise to process detailed information with high levels of accuracy and to research and apply accounting policy. Communicates effectively with other units and management to plan work, gather information, and present results. Leads efforts to continuously improve processes to produce relevant financial reports in the fastest, most efficient means possible.

The primary responsibilities of this accounting role involve partnering with business stakeholders to analyze and accurately record financial transactions in a timely manner, conducting monthly controls analysis, and collaborating with the team to deliver standard financial reports. This position plays a key role in supporting the team's successful financial close by performing general accounting tasks, investigating variances, communicating insights to management, and contributing to various ad hoc projects.

This is a remote position. However, those within 50 miles of our office in Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH, Plano, TX, Seattle, WA, and Columbus, OH must report to the office twice a week. Please note that this policy is subject to change.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
