Co-op, Health Equity & Next Generation Insights

About the Role:

This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2026. Resume review begins in February 2026.

Biogen's Health Equity & Clinical Innovation team is launching a medical affairs focused co-op to examine how Gen Z health behaviors, trust dynamics, and digital ecosystems should inform the future of disease strategy, evidence generation, and scientific engagement.

This role will evaluate how Gen Z defines health and illness, seeks medical information, evaluates scientific credibility, and engages with healthcare systems and clinical research. Particular emphasis will be placed on the impact of social media, AI-enabled tools, online communities, and digital misinformation on scientific trust, benefit-risk understanding, and participation in care and research.

Insights generated through this co-op will directly inform medical affairs strategy and Development 2030 planning, including disease-level planning, feasibility considerations, patient engagement models, scientific education approaches, and long-term access and equity strategies. Ideal candidates are analytically curious, digitally fluent, culturally aware, and interested in medical affairs, health equity, and generational change in medicine.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$29.00

The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidate's current academic level and degree candidacy, inclusive of Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, JD, MD, PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
