Technical Leader - BWRX Deterministic Safety Analysis
Job Description Summary
The Technical Leader will provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination of the efforts by the Transient Analysis team supporting the BWRX mega-project.
This individual must have excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills as they will be required to interface with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds. Additionally, this position has direct customer-facing opportunities through training, deliverables, and collaboration.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to the functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules.
- Work effectively and make positive contributions in a dynamic team environment.
- Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
- Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables.
- Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring.
- Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions.
- Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience
DESIRED:
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering.
- Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
- Understand standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
- Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR.
- Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
- Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity.

- Display a strong drive for continuous improvement.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $213,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
