Job Description Summary

The Lead Communications Manager - Europe will be a key contributor in executing holistic external and internal communications and reputation management efforts for GE Vernova across the region. The successful candidate will support senior leadership team members in Europe on achieving business objectives and growth priorities; support the broader GE Vernova Communications teams on strategic initiatives; collaborate closely with various business units and functional teams; and work with a network of PR, event management, and creative agencies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of internal and external communications plans for GE Vernova in the Europe region

• Develop and support execution of a communications timeline with key milestones and a cadence of communication touchpoints with internal stakeholders

• Partner with leadership and business communications teams to distill key messages for all stakeholders: employees, People Leaders, employee representatives, unions and external stakeholders and adapt media opportunities to fit into the GE Vernova in Europe story

• In full alignment with the Europe Communications Leader and/or Europe Communications Business Partner, drive proactive media relations to tell the GE Vernova in Europe story, develop reactive statements, and messages for the media; partner with PR agency and External Communications team to respond to media enquiries; draft media talking points, Q&As in line with business strategy and market needs; act as point of contact for media as required

• Serve as communications partner to senior leadership members in the region

• Partner with the Europe Communications team and drive a region-wide social media campaign for Europe, liaising with creative agency to ensure we are supporting projects on social media on our corporate page as well as through our leadership team's personal accounts

• Help execute owned or manage our participation at third-party events

• Aid in the execution of internal communications plans that provide timely information to employees to drive strong connectivity to business strategy; inform, align, and motivate employees to support company plans and priorities; drive employee engagement and productivity; encourage a culture of recognition, best practice sharing, inclusion, and diversity; promote our shared sense of purpose

• Partner with HR and local management and provide communication support on community-related activities

• Help execute the design, creation and/or critical review of various types of content: case studies, videos, podcasts, executive speeches, social media posts, brochures, infographics, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience

• Demonstrated experience in external communications and media relations with specific experience in PR agency communications

Location: Flexible location in Europe, preferences listed below, but open to other countries.
