NFL Deputy Editor

USA TODAY Sports Network is seeking an enterprising and collaborative editor to help lead coverage of the NFL for the nation's largest media organization.

The person in this role will manage and mentor a team of reporters and help guide our day-to-day reporting, including breaking news, as well as lead our enterprise and project coverage, making sure we're moving stories forward at the speed of news and aggressively seeking the sources, story forms and information that will differentiate our coverage. You'll also get the opportunity to collaborate with other reporters and editors to further elevate our enterprise and investigative work.

This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the US, except for Alaska, Hawaii and Wyoming. Ideal for a high-performing people manager with a demonstrated history of growing audience.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $83,000 and $129,688. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
