Job Summary
The Corporate Development Senior Analyst supports regional business planning/analysis, strategic initiatives, and new business development research. They are expected to build strong partnerships with some major functions and consult on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investments.
Responsibilities
Investment Management
- Assists in evaluation of real estate strategy for each metro and supports capex forecasts on planned development
- Supports the preparation of business cases for new development
- Conducts financial modeling and assists in development of presentations
- Coordinates with Design, Construction, Sales, Ops, Finance and other departments to determine optimal development plans
- Coordinates investment approval process and capex prioritization
- Assists with creation of investment proposals to executive management
- Assists in evaluation of site business performance against plans
- Supports asset management optimization strategies including expansion, contraction, disposition and reconfiguration of properties
- Conducts financial analysis and IRR models
- Conducts ad hoc financial analysis and support investment analysis for other business units, including M&A, Strategy, Business Development, and others
M&A
- Analyzes trends and deal activity in sectors of interest to Equinix
- Supports analyses of different structural alternatives (i.e., build vs. buy, equity investment vs. partnership vs. acquisition)
- Conducts analyses to support the development of M&A thesis (the "why") in support of Strategy with the Business Unit Heads
- Provides support to senior team members in the development of operational models and synergy forecasts for targets
- May assist with the storyboarding of presentations to drive discussion at the Senior Executive level
Strategic Planning and Development
- Independently conducts competitive market research on trends that have a potential to impact the business, as assigned by senior leadership
- Conducts and prepares reports on research
Project and Program Management
- Attends and supports cross functional team meetings
- Assists in preparation of Executive staff and Board presentation materials
- Supports efforts on internal consulting projects focused on new markets/products, growth initiatives or profitability improvements
- Aids in short-term consulting/problem solving/performance improvement support & advice to E-team, as needed
- Prepares team meeting materials
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Develops relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company
- Proactively communicates with internal departments to ensure accurate data is used for modeling purposes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; CPA or MBA a plus
- 3+ years of business experience, preferably in Investment Banking/Top tier Management consulting/Corporate Finance/Corporate Development at a leading technology company preferred
- Business level of Japanese is a must
- Business level of English to read/write reports (Speaking is not mandatory)

- 財務分析およびIRR（内部収益率）モデルを作成
- M&A、Strategy、Business Developmentなど他部門向けの投資および財務分析を実施
M&A（企業買収• 提携）
- Equinixが注目する市場• 業界におけるトレンドおよび案件動向を分析
- Build vs. Buy、資本提携 vs. パートナーシップ vs. 買収など、各種戦略オプションの分析を支援
- 事業部門責任者などと連携し、M&Aの投資仮説• 戦略的意義（Why）の構築を支援
- 買収対象企業に関するオペレーティングモデルおよびシナジー予測の作成を支援
- シニアエグゼクティブのディスカッションを促進するプレゼンテーション資料の構成• 作成を支援
戦略企画• 事業開発
- シニアリーダーシップの指示のもと、事業に影響を与える可能性のある市場動向や競争環境に関する調査を主体的に実施
- 調査結果を分析し、レポートを作成• 報告
プロジェクト• プログラムマネジメント
- 部門横断型チーム会議へ参加し、運営をサポート
- 経営会議および取締役会向け資料作成を支援
- 新市場• 新製品、成長戦略、収益性向上に関する社内コンサルティングプロジェクトを支援
- 必要に応じて、経営陣（E-Team）向けの短期的な課題解決や業績改善に関する分析• 提言を行う
- チームミーティング資料を作成
社内コラボレーション
- 社内の主要ステークホルダーとの信頼関係を構築
- モデリングや分析に使用するデータの精度を確保するため、関連部門と積極的にコミュニケーションを図る
応募資格
- 学士号以上
- 関連分野における3年以上の実務経験
- 財務モデリング、財務分析および投資評価の実務経験
- ExcelおよびPowerPointを活用した分析• 資料作成経験
- 英語による各種レポート• 分析資料の作成および読解が可能な方
歓迎要件
- CPA（公認会計士）、MBA保有者
- 投資銀行、戦略コンサルティング、Corporate Finance、Corporate Development、経営企画での勤務経験
- M&A、事業投資、不動産投資、インフラ投資に関する経験
- ビジネスレベルの英語会話力
